Kingsley Eames-Style Recliner and Footstool: 135 Degree Recline, Bentwood Base, 150kg, Twenty Reviews
By Furniture1002 min read

The Kingsley is our most reviewed lounge chair, twenty times over, and the one that actually reclines. An Eames-style lounge chair and matching footstool on a bentwood base, with a back that goes to 135 degrees and a gentle rocking tilt, rated to 150kg. It is the chair for reading, television and doing nothing at all.
What it is
A recliner and footstool set. The back reclines manually to 135 degrees, and the chair tilts, rocking gently forwards and backwards. The upholstery is a faux leather microfibre. Both the chair and the footstool sit on bentwood bases, gently curved, with anti-slip feet.
The stated figures:
| Upright | 99cm H x 79cm W x 81cm D |
| Reclined | 91cm H x 79cm W x 102cm D |
| Footstool | 38cm high |
| Maximum load | 150kg |
The reclined depth is the one to plan for: the chair needs a further 21cm behind it when it goes back.
Who it suits
Anyone who wants the Eames lounge look and also wants to lie back in it. The Kingsley is the version with the mechanism; the Milo is the fixed swivel version with the closer resemblance to the original. If reclining matters more than fidelity, this is the one.
Angela: "I don't often leave reviews but this chair is excellent value for money. Delivery was super quick. Arrived a day early. Easy to assemble and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend."
Brown or grey
Brown is the classic lounge chair colour and the one that reads as leather from across the room. Grey is cooler and suits a modern scheme.
What buyers say

"Great quality chair, looks good, easy to assembly. Love it."
Twenty reviews and the word easy appears in most of them.
Living with it
A damp cloth for the microfibre. Keep the bentwood bases dusted, and check the anti-slip feet occasionally.
